Reception had a wonderful WOW week.
On outdoor learning day we enjoyed lots of different wellbeing activities. Miss Smith ran a yoga/ Pilates session. We learnt breathing and different calm down techniques.
The children did a fantastic job at sports day. It was great to see all the different year groups working together, and how much effort all the children put in.
Miss MacGregor and Mrs Sarson ran a gardening session, which was funded by the PA- Thank you. Pupil parliament worked with Miss MacGregor to choose rainbow plants to make the playground look bright. They also chose some herbs that smell lovely, so we can use the space to calm down and relax. We talked about what plants need to live, and about how they are important to wildlife, and our own wellbeing. We dug up the ground, which was hard work. We then planted all the different plants in a rainbow. We chose to put the taller plants at the back and the smaller plants at the front. We also chose the best places to put the bug hotels and wind chimes. The playground looks fantastic- and the children at after school club have been doing a great job of watering the flowers- thank you
