Nursery Acorns - What Have We Been Doing?

It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm and engagement of our students in the acorn room.

The recent focus on patterns has allowed them to explore their creativity and think critically. Their efforts in creating their own patterns have been shown in a variety of way, showcasing their understanding and application of this concept.

There has also led to discussions on comparative language, including understanding the concepts of big, small, tall, and short. The children have also had opportunities to apply these concepts in hands-on activities, such as building towers.

In addition to this, the children have been learning about the harvest season and where food comes from. They have been involved in various activities related to growing and harvesting vegetables, including picking food from our on-site garden. This hands-on experience has helped them understand the process of harvesting and collecting food.

The children also participated in a baking activity where they made cookies, similar to those mentioned in a previously read story. This activity not only enhanced their motor skills but also allowed them to apply their creativity in a fun and engaging way.
