GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.
Our English lessons have been out of this world since half term! We arrived back to find an alien spaceship had crash landed in our library. We later discovered that the spaceship belonged to a lonely little alien called Beegu and we read all about her story in the book Beegu by Alexis Deacon. Beegu’s story inspired the children to write their very own alien stories.
Each of our schools has its own distinct character and culture which is respectful of its community and context but their utmost common ground is that it is our staff that make each school.
