Year 2 Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole Workshop

Year 2 recently attended a workshop about Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole; two nurses during the Crimean War.

We got to dress up and re-enact the life of these two incredible women and the people who surrounded them (soldiers, royalty and their families).

Now we understand that they are significant individuals because they saved the lives of sick and injured patients by cleaning the hospitals and

making better, safer places.

It was so much fun! We particularly enjoyed the costumes.
