Reception Bread

Reception have started our STEAM curriculum, and our first terms is all about bread.

We have tried different types of bread and talked about which ones we like the most. We learnt about our senses and used them to look at, smell and taste the different types of bread- tiger bread was very popular.

We have also been learning about the ingredients that make bread, and enjoyed counting out and measuring the ingredients to make our own bread rolls. The dough was very sticky so we used lots of flour to stop it from sticking to our hands. The best part was definitely trying the bread rolls we had cooked. The children said they were soft and fluffy, with a crunchy outside.
