Wellbeing Day
Wellbeing Day - October 2021
Studies have shown that outdoor learning can have a significant impact on the mental and physical wellbeing of children. With this in mind, we recently held a Wellbeing Day in Years 1 and 2, with the focus on Outdoor Learning. The children spent a part of the day with all of the different teachers across Years 1 and 2, carrying out a variety of outdoor learning activities. They made Autumn wreaths, did leaf rubbings, went on a very energetic Teddy Bear hunt and used their senses on an Autumn scavenger hunt. It was a huge success! The children really enjoyed the different activities, they worked fantastically together and all of the staff involved were very proud of the children’s behaviour.
We hope to run more days like this throughout the school year, giving the children the opportunities to explore the outdoor learning space across the seasons.
