Reception Spring Term Learning & Library Visit
We have had a busy few days! On Wednesday we had a trip to the library linking to RE where we have been exploring 'What we can learn from stories'. Holly the librarian was fantastic, sharing her favourite book and showing the children around. This trip was free as the library is a free resource for the community. We encourage all parents to visit the library to support the work they do.
On Thursday we were very excited to invite our families to our Art Gallery. It was great to share all the hard work Early Years have been doing, and we really enjoyed seeing how proud the children were of their work.
In PSHE we have been learning how to be good friends and exploring our similarities and differences. We got the parachute out this week and took turns swapping places with someone who shared similarities with us .e.g. blue eyes/ favourite colour.
In maths we have spent the last 2 weeks looking at doubles to 10. The children have explored this in many different ways, using their fingers and manipulatives such as dice. We have also been exploring the patterns doubles can make, by mirroring on butterfly wings.
Have a lovely Easter holiday and we will see you after the break.
