GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

We are each unique and beautiful, but together we make a masterpiece

We have a beautiful new display in our main reception area to the entrance of the school. This has been a whole school project. In assembly Miss McCarthy read the story The Dot and tasked the children (and staff) with decorating their own paper plate using different resources. We now have a display that includes every child and adult at Lightwater Village School. It represents us all being different and celebrates these differences. The title of our display is ‘We are each unique and beautiful, but together we make a masterpiece’.
